I doubt any of us will... Beautiful detailed view with great perch and BG. Perhaps a few more points of black. Congrats. TFS
Wow Dan!
He is gorgeous!
Great, great perch and perfect HA with a nice dorsal view. Great look at the tail.
The little bit of green moss is killer. And I like the toenail curved over the end of the perch.
I agree that a bit more black in the blacks would punch up this guy a little bit.

Hi Dan, nice look at this guy. I like everything in the image, a beautiful setting with the end of a old log with moss. Not sure if it is a geographic thing but the Pileated Woodpeckers here at more black. Thank you for sharing.

So well done, sublime, yes for more points of black and oh i wish for a head turn but this one is gorgeous!
Very nice setting Dan!
Such a stunning bird works perfectly for this kind of close portrait. The trunk with the green moss is beautiful and so is the clean BG. I think the exposure and the comp looks good to.
There is an artificial grey line in the white streak on the head. Just to the left is a small arean of blown whites. I would try to fix that by either cloning or reducing whites in the original. Otherwise you got some good suggestions regarding the blacks.
Amazing to get such a close shot. Great detail, and the touch of green tops it off nicely. Yes to a few points of black. Great shot.
Nice view of this pileated woodpecker. The detail on the bird looks very nice. Killer green background as well.
I am envious. This one is beautifully framed and the setting is beautiful as well. It might be nice to view with the BLACKs and the NEUTRALs closer to being black ...
