This is the first time posting an image (not my strong point) I have to start somewhere. This was done in Cape Cod, cold, windy day but the sun finally came out for a bit in the evening. I was thrilled to get a reasonable distance to an eider, I rarely have seen one. Camera was a 40D, 100-400. Any comments are welcome. Thanks for your time.

Big Welcome to the posting world Carole !!!! Glad you decided to join in !!!

I like it a lot Fine low angle, good exposure and pose !!1 The eye is clearly visible which is really good Would suggest getting into sun angle in possible to light the bird evenly Seems like the light is from the right side !!! Love it and eagerly waiting for the next !!!!

    Hi Carole,
I like your composition very much. I took the liberty in working on your image. I cropped the top just a tad to make it into a pano composition. I lightened the background just a little and increased saturation slightly. Also sprinkled a wee bit of sharpening. See if you like this...:D

Are they really that color? I'm sure they are just never seen one before. Really like the wings and the sun hitting the one on the right side is super!

    Welcome to the list!!

Welcome to the BPN family - nice bird - I like the lighting adds to the imager IMHO.

Think the repost is a definite improvement.

    Keep them coming.

    :)
