Just looking at your camera settings John - not a cat in hells chance of anything like that here, we have had rain for the last 4 days and it is to continue for at least another 4, everywhere is waterlogged - at least the garden pond is full..........but so is the lawn and some flower beds!
Back to your image I really like it, the details in the coat are good, he appears to be moulting.
I did download the image duplicated the layer ->ACR and checked the white balance, then adjusted the opacity of that layer, you probably like the colours as presented but just a thought for consideration.

Hi John -- Very nice details in the Hare and to me it would be something between your Op and Steve's RP , rather I am more inclined towards Steve's RP on considering it further.
Really a nice image.
TFS !
And As per Jon's comments there seems to be more washouts on the way in the ongoing cricket world cup .

Hi John yet another nice frame of this species .
Basically i would go with the OP on all counts , just a slight turn in the WB would do it for me .
Looking at the light i would expect some contrast and " harsh" appearance . And you have that look in the OP .... just the grass " needs " a bit of a hue shift IMHO .
Very nice frame , TFS Andreas
