    Hi Bill,

Very interesting capture. I don't know if the wave is stronger than your subject but I keep jumping back to the wave....

You need a new guide book ;)

But I love the shot, and as already mentioned the detail in the wave is great.

I think this is great as-is. The image had a big wow-factor when I opened it up. I like the softness of the water and the way the bird and the water go together.

In future Bill, if you have trouble with species ID like this you can always post to Avian: Identification, Behavior and Nomenclature!!! (smiling)

OK......two Florida boys missed the Ibis??? Now I've had a good laugh for the day! Love the wave action and the splash in the UL keeps me in the image. Really like this!

I like the exposure control, details and it looks as if the bird is going to get pretty wet soon. :) I find the BG a bit noisy.

Never seen them in surf like that. Excellent job with shutter speed on waves.

Sorry to be late to the laugh fest. When I first saw this I thought that the whites on the bird were totally blown so I opened it in Photoshop and saw that the whites were blown--lots of clipping. Do like the waves and the sharpness of the Willet's head...
