Hi Bill,
Very interesting capture. I don't know if the wave is stronger than your subject but I keep jumping back to the wave....
Willet? That's an Ibis!!!!
I'd go back in the sharpening of the water :)
..... maybe is behind the ibis !!!
Sweet pose and great timing with the wave !! Love the expression !!!!
You need a new guide book ;)
But I love the shot, and as already mentioned the detail in the wave is great.
:o OH Me, Long day I guess, This Florida boy really messd this one up. I have images of a Willet and this White Ibis and just got mixed up. I bet everyone is laughinng at this one. Have a great evening and enjoy my mistake. :) :D ;)

No problem, Bill, we all have busy days with a tired end :)
The High Florida Ibis Council forgives you :)
Trust me Bill you are not the only one.... I'm right behind you :) Good innocent humor for our long day!!
I think this is great as-is. The image had a big wow-factor when I opened it up. I like the softness of the water and the way the bird and the water go together.
In future Bill, if you have trouble with species ID like this you can always post to Avian: Identification, Behavior and Nomenclature!!! (smiling)
OK......two Florida boys missed the Ibis??? Now I've had a good laugh for the day! Love the wave action and the splash in the UL keeps me in the image. Really like this!
Wonderful action captured in this image Bill and the expression on the ibis is priceless. Like this a lot !!!!
I like the exposure control, details and it looks as if the bird is going to get pretty wet soon. :) I find the BG a bit noisy.
Never seen them in surf like that. Excellent job with shutter speed on waves.
Sorry to be late to the laugh fest. When I first saw this I thought that the whites on the bird were totally blown so I opened it in Photoshop and saw that the whites were blown--lots of clipping. Do like the waves and the sharpness of the Willet's head...
