    Default Eye On The Prize...

I captured this image at Gatorland, Orlando, Florida. I was walking out after photographing at the rookery in the alligator breeding pond. Walked past the Great Egret with a fish at one of the ponds, stopped to capture the show. Always interesting to watch them struggle with a big fish. This guy had killed it and was trying to get the fish lined up to swallow. It would flip it into the air and catch it. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

1/3200 F/8 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 450 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2019 and Neat Image for noise reduction, removed distracting reflections from the background
Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

P.S. Gatorland is one of the locations written about in the The Birds AS Art Middle Of Florida Site Guide that I co-authored with Artie. When Artie gets back from Ontario is should be available for sale on Birds As Art Online Store.

    Joe:

Great timing on image. Nice control of your whites, crop and comp works for me. The birds gaze on the fish is great

    Well captured.

Terrific work Joe, I like that you captured the eye contact between the two, and the action of the toss! Comp and exposure look smack on!

Looking good Joe...Great timing and awesome whites. The colour on the BG shows the bird, and fish, real good. Nice POV and HA. Well done.

Talk about timing. I don't think it could have been anymore perfect. Details on the bird look nice. Digging that blue background.
