Somehow this went without my expert digital knowledge.--nil--- A White Bellied S.E.
D5, 500mmf4 at f5, 1/4000th, hh ,crop25% iso800 .Taken last Nov at Kangaroo Island in South Aust.
She's a big female as formidable as any on this coast I hope you think this shows it.
All c and very welcome

Wow, Ian she does look formidable, indeed. Since you were at ISO 800, I assume you didn't apply much NR leaving me to wonder did you overexpose the whites. There is detail lacking there while the darker wing feathers look fantastic. The splash and dark blue ocean add to the feel... TFS

This is a difficult one to call - one one hand the action is seriously top notch, pose, fish, training water - everything. On the other, the techs are not the best with the harsh light and what looks to be blown whites.
For me, it still works as the pose is so strong, it'll be interesting to see others views - and I'm sure there will be plenty of comments on this one!

The action is great and the fish is a big plus. The whites look cooked. The bird is too tight in the frame.
