Beautiful light.
Nice HA and simple perch.
I think the reds and yellows could be a bit more saturated.
I would also burn the bud tips that are in the toes' grasp.
I would also clone out that extra catchlight.
Sounds like I have a lot of "critique" but this is a very nice image!

Great image John. I wish I could get the blacks looking this good. First thing I noticed is the colors on the wing should be more saturated. They really have some bright reds.
I know you shot this in early spring but I still
think you could add more red. TFS.

I agree about raising the saturation on the epaulette - the reds should be more vivid. I love the perfect and subtle head turn towards us. Good perch.

Nice exposure on the black plumage although I suppose you could even add an additional half stop of black darken it a bit. I would also drop the luminosity on the epaulets to darken them.
