Excellent wing position! These guys are hard to capture in flight.Very sharp and good NR on BG.
The green feathers appear a bit blue (due to low light) and I would tweak the color balance/blues a bit.
    Well done,
    Gail

Great wing position and focus on this one Dan and right at eye level too---nicely captured. I feel like the wings are a bit washed out in colour but that's only a feeling as I've never had a shot at one of these.

A hard one to get shows this beauty well. Love this one from tip of beak to those upturned toenails. Congrats. TFS

Bob, Not sure why, but greenie wings frequently have that look(washed out) and this is as good a view as you'll ever get...

Fantastic flight pose...although a wee bit better HA would be good. Agree with Bob, that the wings can do with some more contrast on them, I think it would make for a better looking image.

Very nice flight frame of this green heron. Love the downstroke pose. I am sure the head angle police will call you out on this one. But still very nice.

Dan, very nice low light shot of this greenie, wish the head angle was better but these things don't always work in the photographers favor.
Maybe a bit more contrast or black in the feathers and back, but still nice considering the conditions.

excellent wing position and pretty good quality given the ISO, there is a touch loss of feather details but as good as it gets for a D500. I see a bit of blue/magenta cast that can be removed and also brightness can be reduced a bit

TFS. looks like the D500 is working great for you
