This image was created in Ithaca, New York on 5/28/19 at 7:01PM. Image processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

This fawn is only a couple days old. Took two frames then watched from a distance until around dark. Mom came along and nursed and cleaned. She then moved the fawn to a new location.

Hi John, a cool sighting and I'm glad you stayed for only a very brief time, reassuring to hear Mom returned and your scent hadn't stopped her. Nice POV, just a thought, but perhaps if you go back into the HSL panel and in Luminance just up (minus sign) both Orange and the Green, might just add a bit more bit, but I'm still away and on the laptop. BTW did you use the silent mode?

Both capture & PP is taking a good step forward.

Hi John you are a really lucky photographer with your deers .
Good that you behaved quite nature friendly , to get the shot .
Personally i think the image is a bit warm overall and the grass ...well we had that already , can stand a more cooler hue in the greens . A tiny bit too yellow for my taste , and you can get some more fine differences in those greens .

Brilliant field work , TFS Andreas

How special this is, John - your patience paid off here. And what a privilege to witness the interaction between this little one and mom

Well captured, lovely pose, nice POV. Framing is great. I like the colours too, very nice work:) Did you remove some grass blades in PP, not sure it was necessary and it shows a bit

Apologies for late comments, could not access the Forum due to internet issues. Thank you so much for sharing,

    Kind regards,
