    Default Breeding Male Wilson's Phalarope

Shot this Phalarope last week. They were eating thousands of newly hatched mosquitoes, which are not in short supply in Nd.This is about the only frame that had very few on the surface of the water. Mosquitoes are in the bill.
Processed with Dpp 4 and Photoshop used neat image on the background couldn't get an acceptable box on the bird. Thanks in advance for comments and critiques.

The low angle is great and the light looks pretty nice. The head looks a little soft. Like the composition.

Good pose and lovely light, does look a little soft. Not much to a mozzie, must take a lot to make a feed.

Beautiful bird and I like the crop. I don't know if the critical focus point was on the head or not, but the whole bird looks soft. I would try more sharpening, see if that makes a difference

    Nice Point of view.

I would like to see Pano Crop for this image.

    Bird needs to be sharpened.

I am late to the party but agree that you had a great low POV and beautiful water texture. Nice diffuse light.
Bird does look a bit soft.

Yes to a pano crop as there is way too much empty space above the bird.
