Good solid portrait of this handsome fellow.
You have shown all the iridescent colors really well.
    Good HA.
I would do some eye work and darken the pupil and increase the browns on the iris to make it pop a bit more.

Boy Joe great job on bringing out the details and colors on this bird. I agree with Gail on the eye. Is the nictitating membrane starting to shut?. I am also seeing some kind of artifact or light shadow behind the neck and in front that may be something that was cloned out. TFS

Hi Kevin, thank you for viewing and commenting. What you see in the eye is a reflection. I tried Gail's suggestion but it did not look natural, maybe try again and keep at it till I find a way. The eye looked dead. No cloning on the image I was that close and found a pure background. Thanks again for looking.

Solid portrait of this grackle. Like the composition and the feather detail. The head turn is nice as well.

Very Nice portrait. Everything looks fine to me.

I would also look at eye changes mentioned by Gail.

Ditto all the stuff above. What I like best is how you handled the potentially awkard framing.
