    EOS R EF 400DO I 1.4xtc II f8 1/800 ISO 160

    Went to Everglades National Park this morning for a proper 3x2 format.

    This is a white morph GBH and not a great egret. Didn't notice till I got home since I couldn't see the lower half because of foilage at the water's edge. Thicker bill gives it away. One of my faves...

    Very neat to see a great white heron. Portrait is spot on. Nice detail and that blue water background is great.

    Yeah these beauties (Great Blue Heron white morph) only reside far south in Florida which is where the ENP is located. There are none up in northern Dade or Broward county and they are fairly rare even down south. Must have built up some good karma to get both my favorite (GBH and Big Red) white morphs within a weeks span...

    Well done David; I knew that you could do it. Note: I did see one of these at Merritt Island NWR years ago.

    I wouild not mind it if the bird's head were turned one degree more toward us. I love the bKGHR.
