    Default Juvenile Herring Gull

I'm assuming this is a Herring Gull (juvenile) as there were quite a few adults about, but please feel free to correct this ID.

Taken whilst walking around Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC. I liked the head turn, as the subject was watching adults above, however, I would have liked more below, but it was just ugly so cropped tight.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Love the behavioral aspect, the perch, the BG and the details and colors. You handled the off light angle well and got details everywhere(even in the shadows). Wish for same behavior with slightly better view of eye. TFS

    Hi Steve,

Someone had a bad Monday morning on the gull assembly line!

The feather detail is impressive, as is the detail on the perch. The variation in the greys and soft browns of the feathers look great against the soft blues of the sea.

    Thanks for sharing, Gerald

LOL Gerald, think he/she was build actually on a Friday.

The feather detail is impressive, as is the detail on the perch.
Comes back to not allowing LR to take control as I mentioned to you, BTW hope you got my note, cheers.

Details look great. Like the different pose here. Background is nice as well. The lighting is welcome here.
