    Love this BG to set off this beauty and the water droplets. Wish for a slight bump in contrast for the eye only. TFS

    The bands of white/blue in the BG work really well with the stark white bird and provide some geometric support for the horizontal streak of yellows of the bill/eye complex. The water droplets provide movement in an otherwise serenely still and quiet image.

    Nice soft blue background with what i assume are clouds reflecting in the water. Like the water drops off the bill.

    Well done as noted above but there is too much negative space above the bird. Using an upper AF point would have improved it.

    As per Artie, the egret is too low in the frame. Pointing your lens down (with an upper FP) would have yielded a much better compositional result. Other than that, all else looks excellent. Beautiful BG!
