Indian Rufous Treepie

Whilst getting some intel from the Forest guards, the occasional Treepie would come down hoping for some tasty tit bits, sadly this one was to be disappointed. How I shot this one one stick, no idea as this was not a set-up, but hit worked. A hint more DoF for me, maybe f/8 as I'm not a lover shooting wide open with this lens so close.

Hi Steve, love the image. The soft tones with the highlight on the head and upper chest are wonderful. Made me wonder if you used a Radial Filter in Lightroom? Thank you for sharing.

Joe I will use (if applicable) any element of LR/PS has to offer in order to process the image to the desired end result, but not here. What I think you may be seeing/referring to is an old photographic trick and that is some 'snooted light' to add focus.
