    This guy was sitting on a fence post alongside a road in The Pantanal, was able to get reasonably close in the yellow morning light.
    400mm, 1/1600, f6.3, ISO250.

    Light is really sweet...i like the dirt of the bill. I would get rid of the tiny speck light in the eye.

    How cool is that! I love the debris on the bill as well, this guy had already been busy despite the early morning hour! I'm with Dan in getting rid of the tiny white speck in the eye, but all else is really quite appealing and nicely done.

    Ditto all the positives above. I would have liked to have seen this a bit tighter -- there is a lot of negative space above and behind the bird. And perhaps lifting the curve just a bit would improve it as it looks quite dense from here.
