I can see why you chose this, the drops and the water in the bill are great. You could consider taking out the green since it is the only blemish in the background, and if you had it I'd add a bit below.

I would remove the green spot.
DOF is fine, the focus is on the bill.
I would also take some off the top..
    Nice angle.

Neat looking bird. Like the patterns on this one. The pose is nice like the water in the bill. Would like to see some more below. I don't mind the green blob.

Good look at the Stilted Sandpiper. I'm enjoying the water in the open beak. Superb depth of field and point of view. I would also clone away the distracting green spot behind the tail.

The water action at the bill tip really does add tons of positive attention here. I agree with removing the green spot, and for more room below (and less above). Super nice details, and waving pattern of the water surface looks really good.

Yes, a neat capture with the bird too low in the frame. It looks a bit too bright from here. What state? What date?

Lastly I would not mind it if the head were turned two degrees more toward us. Love the water stuff. It is possible that there is a tiny invertebrate in the drop inside the bill ...

ps: Stilt Sandpiper not Stilted :)

Artie I agree with the head turn and I thought it had an invertebrate too. Shot in Nd south of Minot 5/19/19

Thanks Kevin. I should have mentioned that the easiest way to move the bird up in the frame in these siuatiions would be to move the AF point up ...
