This young pup was watching his brothers and sisters playing just outside the den in the evening light. Yes, a slow SS, but if you have a good technique, control your breathing, then it's not a problem.

The point of view is spot on. Like the pose and the composition is nice as well. Well now look who is hand holding. Im suprised you wouldn't have upped the ISO. Not like it matters here this is tack sharp. Maybe not enough time then the moment was gone. Nice and sharp with good details.

Lovely capture, Steve. I especially like the colours and POV. Very nice detail on this little Crocuta's face Nice inquisitive pose, very sweet.

Superb PP work as usual, wonderful tones and killer BG, I am so jealous of this one!

Hi Steve lovely capture and i do like the moment you picked for this image , get that look of interest in his eyes . Well done .

Colors looking good and the tonal range as well , maybe a bit more depth in the 3/4 tones in the fur . Depending on the location i might go a tiny bit cooler in the WB :

Well processed with that lovely fine detail showing up !! Well i would have gone for more ISO ....

Hi Steve -- What a stunning image , I loved the IQ and the tones in it. Excellent POV as well. Excellent PP work again .

Agree on the technique aspect but in the first place why such low ss ? oversight ? or were you trying something new ?

    Superb image.

    TFS !

Pup was static, I was in a good place HH and so felt comfortable in the settings and in not pushing the ISO retained more Dynamic range. Shooting wide open I was on the cusp of the DoF, but I just wanted the head and let the body drift back into the backdrop.
