Just as the risen sun peeked over a line of trees spotted this newbie deciding lizards are easier to catch than wading for fish. This beauty was bouncing on this lower branch to get to his meal in the upper leaves. At least she/he has that hunting concentration down pat.

Love the soft early morning light. Think it might be better just a tad more of exposure, and wish for more room on the left wing. Love the open wings and outstretched reach.Nice to see hints of the feet on tip toes. TFS

That is some sweet, sweet light. Nice outstreched pose on the bird. Neat how the bird is framed by the branches.

I love this, David! Awesome pose, and great surroundings. Yes to being a bit dark, but an easy tweak. Did you apply some NR to the image? I ask as the wings seem a touch smooth (maybe it's just me).

Nice light and action. Agree that the framing of the bird by the foliage is very cool!

The sharp leaf standing out mid right keeps pulling my eye, so I would be tempted to evict it if possible.

    Lovely image, thanks for sharing.
