    Great moment captured, the water adds interest. I wish the head were turned more toward you and might blur the BG a bit.

    Great timing to capture this image but I do agree with Axels comments. Look forward to seeing more of these beautiful birds.

    Agree on the slight blurring for the bg !! For this would have gone wide open to minimize bg detail ..... that lens is plenty good wide open. Also I think the sharpest point of focus is on the back not the eye !!!

    The bird looking away does not bother me since he is doing the nice behavior !!! I like it a lot !!!

    Pefect timing. Alfred, he was wide open (400 2.8 plus 2X TC), but I do agree that that BKGR looks wierd (bad Boken). Sharp on the eye but lots of problems... Tail clipped. Top of the head is in shadow. Filtered light. Sun/Shadow/Sun.... And lastly the distracting bright thing lower right.
