One of the fun things about having such a diverse nursery rookery are the recent fledglings. With so many nests now coming to fruition, some of the fledglings are bound to be around. Now, the Florida birds are famous for allowing closer approach and that is doubly true at Wako where they are well acclimated to people on the boardwalks. In fact, this is one of very few places you can feel completely comfortable with nesting ethics. Having said that, the new inexperienced fledglings can take it to a whole other level.
As always, a heartfelt appreciation to anyone who has critiqued previous posts. Looking forward to more comments, suggestions and teachings.
