I am this image in Provo Bay, Utah Lake Last Weekend. This is prime time to photograph Yellow headed Black Birds as they nest in Provo Bay UT.

Background colors are due to distant clouds.

Hoping to make few more trips.

Nice to see the bird in its habitat. The grasses make this one for me. Maybe having the bird dead center would make a nice composition. But i guess you would cut off the top head of grass there.

    Krishna:

Nice to see one of these fellows. Only seen one once in Michigan.

    Well exposed, nice head angle.

I like the comp, but could also see one with a sig. crop up from the bottom.

    Cheers

Nice frame of one of my favorite songbirds. And what a song they sing. I like the comp the way it is. Well done

Love this composition. The environment and the bird share this canvas nicely. TFS

Very appealing image! One of your stronger ones. I love the comp too. If I were very fussy I would clone out the very tiny bit of grass peeking from behind the top of bill. Congrats on a beautiful image!

Striking bird and beautifully captured, Krishna. Great perch and I like the crop with a good amount of the plant keeping him smallish in the frame. Like the grey sky background.
