This is very nice especially at iso 3200. I really like the fact that we can see all of the back of the bird and a great head turn. On my monitor the near side feather next to the body of the bird is brown which is slightly distracting .
Having waited for many moons for a PF 500 ,it has now finally arrived. 1of 6 to reach this country since Xmas I'm told. So while waiting I have been interested in your remarks about the PF problems at 700mm with the D850. You have answered the problem and proved the D5 plus 500 plus 1.4 .can do the job in imperfect light.
Its hard to see how much better the 850 could be even without the' hunting' problem than this .
