    Wow... This my favorite setup from you. Sharp, colorful with a silky smooth BG and a meandering perch through the frame. Fantastic view of that eye. Congrats. TFS

    More frontal light would have illuminated the front part of the bird better, but a part from that I am liking the subject, perch, and BG (although the BG seems a touch noisy/pixelated as posted - surely not visible in the master file).

    Very pretty John, lovely perch, pose, and I like how the light accents his head... This bird is slightly ahead of a nuthatch for me to get my shots, one speedy bugger. Well done, plenty of feather detail.

    This is really nice, John. I actually quite like the side lighting as it nicely spotlights his nicely detailed face. f/8 was smart as you got a nice DOF through the entire image. Nice clean BG to boot!
