Always nice to see a new species...
Exposure looks good, nice BG.
Comp is fine, I might take some off the left.

Always kind to give a new tern here a turn hahahaha... Truly pelagic until it’s breeding season and they nest on small islands. I do like the extra long wings and that bridles black on he face, exposure and details look swell and looks like Lord Howe was a wonderful isolated island with great birds. Very nicely done.

I've never seen one on BPN or irl, so thanks for posting. Lovely angled pose against good BG. Well exposed. Sounds like a productive trip even if it wasn't specifically for photography.

Looks pretty nice. Like the spot and the rock for the perch. Nice background.

rather beautiful! I like the elongated pose, and the overall IQ. Nice BG also. Perhaps a touch cool on the WB. A new species for me as well, so another thanks for posting this!

Clean and crisp, and I agree with Daniel that the whole frame looks a bit cold. Wish for a bit more DOF on the tail/wing tips, but it looks like you were up against the light as is.

Simple and elegant portrait. I'm with Daniel on the white balance; I'd like to see it a bit warmer.

Great looking bird and a beautiful capture Gail. Expose is perfect, details are great, and you couldn't ask for a better BG for a bird like this. Great job.
Been crazy busy but want to call you to see how the trip went. Talk to you soon
