I was trying to get just one more shot of a Snail Kite before the sun set, when Geoffrey called out "Osprey on your right" or something like that. I swiveled right and grabbed this just as he flew by with his small catch of the day. The clouds in late afternoon sun made a nice backdrop.

Excellent detail and a nice wings-up position. I do wish the bird was looking towards us, and I might move it a little lower in the frame.

Superb light, great look at the bird and the unfortunate fish. Just a shame he turned slightly away from you, but this is still an excellent frame

Hi Bill, I like the BG and the light here. Yes HA is not perfecto but your flight capture is wonderful. Nice wing details and he does look like he's in a hurry! TFS

Love the BG sky and the light and the fact that we can see the fish' eye.
Perfect wings up position and there is a real sense of fast forward movement in this image.
HA already mentioned but still a definite keeper,

Good one, Bill. We had some gorgeous light that afternoon. I almost worked on my capture of a just about identical image, and still will at some point. Like the open beak, wing position, and the grasp of the fish.

Thank you all. Dan, the "yellow caste" is the result of the sunlight just before sunset, which is not neutral.
