Brown Pelican over Pacific

Haven't been to this forum in a long time...
Shot this one yesterday morning...
Nikon D5, 600mm f/4G VR, f/6.3, 1/2500, 1100 ISO
Monopod, processed with C1Pro and Neat Image (both of which I am just starting to learn...)
Thanks in advance for any feedback...

Love the perfect banking wingspread. Looks like there is not much detail in the WHITE head. What are the RGB #s there? In a perfect world, the bird's head would be angled a bit more towards us. Is this from a horizontal original?
with love, artie
ps: good to see you back!

Thanks Arthur...
I see your point about the detail in white. RGB in the bright center seems to be around 239,239,237. And yes, it is cropped from a horizontal original:

The dorsal view is nice. The image quality looks quite good considering the large crop. Maybe a touch more behind on the original would be nice.

Thanks Kambiz, The WHITEs should be fine at those #s. In low light sometimes there is just not much there.

ps: Me thinks that you original post could have been larger .... 1920 pixels wide or tall less than 595 KB.

What a wingspread...and neat tail flare to go with it. I agree with Artie on all points, including the welcome back.

Nits on the head already mentioned, so I'll just admire the wingspan and the flared tail. Virtually the same pose as one of my favourite gannet images from last year!
