Yesterday I went to our very large county park nearby, and stood next to a lesser know large puddle carved out by tractors and other heavy vehicles. A variety of birds love to bathe and drink. These early spring arrivals are quite comfortable with humans, in fact I thought this one was going to land on me because I was close to a branch with leaves he was dining near. C&C welcome.

    D500, Sigma 150-600mm C @ 600mm, 1/1000s, f 6.3, ISO 1250, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Removed some distracting twigs in cs6.

Really like how the bird is framed by those leaves. The pose is nice. Wish the head wasn't so tilted up.

    Geoffrey:

I like the framing by the leaves as well, but might consider doing a mild vignette to tone down their brightness some.

Yes, would be better with not quite so much tilt of the head, but still engaging as is.

    Cheers

I would desaturate the greens a bit, HA is common to these birds so I don't mind, I just started seeing them around
    in our area.

Love the framing with the leaves. With the head tilt, the net-wing looks a bit sharper than the head ...
