Beautiful colorful bird with the perfect BG to show off those details and color. This one screams vertical to me. TFS

Hello Debapratim, very beautiful bird and i was fortunate to photograph during an irruption year. Lighting is not ideal here and HA shows dof falling off resulting in oof head. Top of bird lacks details as is highlighted. Love the bill! Hope you had a great time.

    Avery nice image.
The first thing that struck me was how well we can see the crossed bill .
I think the comp is wrong. I would move the bird to the left of the frame and have more room on the right for the bird to look into.
The eye is not pin sharp so I would sharpen that area a bit more to see if it would help.
If not against your ethics I would clone out the little leaf at the bottom. It has no detail and is very bright and pulls the eye away from the crossbill.
Would love to see a repost with all the above suggestions

I would move the bird over and maybe a bit smaller in the frame which
    would help with sharpness..
    Very attractive bird...

Some worthwhile comments above regarding the comp and some extra subtle sharpening to the head. That aside, I like the look back pose and am glad the beak is just far enough away from the body to show off the 'cross'

Agree with the composition statements. But great detail and background on this one.
