    You have nice BG separation for so close..
    I would crop 16X9 (crop off top).

    Lovely low POV and nice and square to the camera. Like Dan hints at above, have you added some blur to the BG?

    Mike and Dan thanks for looking. Nope, this is how it came off the sensor. I did only sharpen the subject as usual.

    Looking good. Like the pose and the low angle. The background is pretty neat.

    Ditto everything above. A bit more below and a bit less above would be better for me. The merge of the bird with the BKGR line of the mud is distracting.

    Yes, I hear you on that mud line. Sat (no laid) at this pool for an hour waiting for one of these diminutive beauties to walk to the top of the rim. They all were diligently working the edge of the water and could not get in completely as the pool was too deep for them. Next time...
