Joe, this is superb, love the low shooting angle, the light and colours. The water running off the legs is great. Nicely done.

I really like this Joe, IQ, the gorgeous colors are so vibrant along with sharpness and details. Love the toes and the foot up with the water rolling off, really cool to look at. A beauty!

You dug into the files and came up with a winner. I wonder what was going on with the bird's near-leg; it looks as if it might have been entrapped in fishing line for a while ...

A beauty of a shot, Joe. Great POV, colors, pose; and yes, the water on the leg. Thanks for sharing.

This looks really good! The setting is lovely splash adds a great touch of action. There do seem to be some hot spots on the breast, and a few other areas look a bit grayed. I'm not sure what kind of processing you've done already but it might be nice to try to even that blotchy texture. Lower half of frame looks a touch pink, but I don't know the site/sand and how that might affect the hue on a great low angle shot like this.

Hey Artie, you're right about the fishing line. When I first posted a image from this series a BPN member Gail Bisson wrote that she had been at Ft. Desoto the year before I captured this image. She saw a Oystercatcher tangled in fishing line and told the ranger. The staff at Ft. Desoto captured the bird and removed the fishing line. What you see is the scar left, appears it had been there for quite a while.. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Nice to see my buddy again! I wonder if he is still alive. I saw him at Fort DeSoto in 2017 but have not seen him since.
I liked this image back in 2017 and I still like it.
I love the splash and the raised foot and the vibrant colors but I see some hot whites on the chest that need to be addressed.
    Thanks for the memories!

Low angle is nice. Like the foot being raised with the water trailing off. The blue/green compliment each other well.

Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated.

Dorian, the pink in the water I think is a reflection of the leg.

Gail, I checked the whites. No clipping or hot areas in the 16 bit TIFF, I think what you see must be caused by converting to a 8 bit JPEG.
