I got this shot last week after two sessions at a local pond with a pair of these fantastic looking grebes. One of my favourite species for sure!

Wow....Killer light, color... I think some might have a problem with the blue, but I like it.

Fantastic mage here! I love the richness of the light and colours. Great bird too. If anything, I think a slight touch of CW rotation could be used, but all in all this is rather spectacular. I love the blue too...

    Very very nice.
    Perfect HA and terrific light.
I am on the fence about the blue but if this is what it was like IRL I would leave it as is.
I like your crop but could see a pano version with a crop from the bottom to that whitish line in the reflection.

Gorgeous frame. Now that is some very nice light. That red eye just glows. Nice all around.

Thank you very much, glad to hear that the blue works for most of you!
I used AF point expansion (manual selection one of center to the right and 4 assisting points)

Ivan, great image, the head plumage being dry really shows it off, light, angle and details are sweet, love that eye.

Thanks Ivan. If you had moved the AF point up a notch or two you would likely have been able to include the whole (very spectacular) reflection ...
