It is pretty amazing that the juvi is less elegant than the adult. But, I like the good eye contact with both birds, the exposure, soft light. Good job on the dof.
I might be tempted to try a version with the leaves behind the juvi removed. The foreground leaves don't bother me.

Very nice light and eye level view.
The composition seems awkward to me and very cramped.
The juvie looks great and I would love to see him alone in the frame.
