Another from my time with the Red Kites at the weekend...I should have mentioned, these ones are tripod mounted, (because of the shoulder recovery). I must say I find it much easier to shoot BIF HH. ACR and PS2019

Hi Will, I quite like the jaunty, almost hovering pose, but love the light coming through the tail feathers and intense stare, however... The underneath of the wings look 'thin' but that could just be the light????

regarding the techs, same as the previous posting from.

Hi Steve, yes this was captured round about same time..I have some with different techs, I'll post later..I was standing on a decked balcony and harsh light was coming from my LHS most of the time, so I concentrated on taking shots of birds coming in from my RHS coming towards the raw meat on a large table in front of me. I never even thought of backlit images, maybe I should have.

Nice direct stare. Like the faint clouds in the bottom left. The bird looks nice and sharp.

I like the direct stare, and the twisting tail. I too like the see-through light in the feathers. I do wish the wing to our right was fuller like the one to our left. The bit of cloud in LLC adds a lot too.

I don't know how you can shoot BIF on a tripod, so good for you...nice stare and the cloud does add.
