Hi all...here's a Pied Oystercatcher from a recent shoot at a new location for me in Brisbane.
7Dii, 100-400@400mm, 1/3200th sec, f5.6, iso640, manual mode, hand-held. Comments appreciated as always.

I think you exposed this shot perfectly. Both the black and the whites looks spot on and without any under/overexpsoure. I like the raised leg and the water splash too. Great light angle and background.
I don't know if it is due to the downsized JPEG or a big crop but the bird looks a bit soft, it is hard to see feather details. I would also give this a bit more room all round but keeping the ratios as is.

Nice image, I like the splash. Agree you need a bit more space, particularly below for the length of the underwater leg.

Nice view of the bird. The walking pose is nice. Agree the image could be cropped less.

Yes, the exposure is perfect, and the rising leg and resulting water splash is very good. I agree for more room, and the head seems to be angled a ever so slightly bit away from us. Still a nice frame though!
