Great closeup, clarity, colours and detail in the feathers. Being ultra picky here, but I'd use the healing brush in PS to erase those small white dots on the bird's crest.

That must have been just after sunrise, or just before sunset judging by the WB. A good look at the eye here. If mine I'd surely add some space top and right as the comp feels a bit cramped as is. Is this a big crop, or is this a location where you are relatively close to the nest?

    Hi Daniel,
This is about 60% of original(is that big?) and was shot right at sunset, or there about, last night with a clear horizon and earth's atmosphere as only light filter. My favorite time... I have more room but liked this composition and the nest was fairly close (I went with 800mm to get more intimate shots). As always, thanks for inputs.
    Peace,
    David

    David:

The things we do for our kids. (regurgitation in this case!)

    Soft light, great eye.

I like the way the head/bill works the diagonal of the frame, but agree with Daniel, in regards to a bit more room. If you add a bit to the top and the right, you can still have the strong diagonal line, but with a bit more breathing room.

    Cheers

Randy (and Daniel), the room you suggested. Thanks as always for your help.

Yepper Randy, as you stated, I was able to keep the diagonal and it looks better to me with the room. Your help always welcome and greatly appreciated.

    David
