Just back from a wonderful 16 days in Uganda, with one highlight was getting to spend time with Mountain Gorillas again.

This is Nsekuye a 2 yr old male infant, granting me this wonderful over the shoulder pose, he's one of 8 that form the Nyakagezi family, which boasts 3 Silverbacks. (Most unusual indeed).

This looks really great. Such a great experience to see mountain gorillas. I don't have your level of experience, but I remember it being tough to get a compelling image, the blackness of the gorillas, the close green cover, and trying to isolate, so my favorites were close details. I like that the blacks are really deep in the shadows with the side light, the framing is nice with the foliage. Spot on.

Hi Marc -- You have raised my inquisitiveness to see these creatures, indeed a splendid frame. The look into the camera and details are fantastic. Nice framing , the foliage in FG adds to the scene and depicts the environment where they are found . Enjoyed viewing this one.

    Hello Marc,

Very special image, such a lovely portrait of Nsekuye! This must have been an awesome experience and you managed to captured a lot of emotion from this youngster.

Love the pose and IMO the vegetation on the LHS adds to the image. Colours look good to me. Sharpness is spot-on. You got nice detail even in the darker areas, but I would probably lift the blacks a bit more.

Too precious...I enjoyed viewing, very much. Thank you Marc!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
