    Default Great Crested Grebe

This is the time of the year to photograph Great Creasted Grebes in Sweden. They have just arrived to their breeding grounds and started building nests which includes displays and interaction between couples.
Unfortenately I was not able to capture any action today but I was happy with the wind speading the crest feathers and the small drop from the raised foot. All comments welcome!

    Have a nice weekend everyone!

    Ivan:

I reckon you did quite nicely, even without the action!
Nice angle, sharp, well exposed, nice background, like the tousled feathers and drop. Comp works for me .

    Cheers

    Colors look really nice.

Like the red eye. Crop looks fine as well

Very nice indeed Ivan - wonderful colours and good low angle, I like the pose.
I am sure you would have already looked carefully at the highlights, I wonder if a tad more detail could have been extracted - especially difficult on the wet neck feathers. Maybe not but perhaps worth a look.

I like it all Ivan, the pose, the foot, the soft BG, colors on the grebe. Very nice, POV, and crest feathers are wonderful.

Very nice. Everything looks spot on here. Nice low angle with a nice pose. Love the raised crest.
