Another perspective of grouse taking a bath. Not as much dirt but like the side view with all the white feathers. What is amazing is how the bird gets the dirt to migrate upwards through the feathers. I have some other frames that show using the foot to scratch the dirt and then it moves up through the feathers.
Don't know how because the bird doesn't look like it moves that much. Maybe more of a vibration. I have a few frames that show large amounts of dirt on top but they aren't sharp on the head. Thanks for comments and critiques.

Nice to see the bird facing the other way. The pattern on the feathers is pretty neat. The low angle is nice. Also like the crop.

The chevrons are outstanding, and you've got a nice bit of action with the dirt flying around. The frame feels a bit cold and might benefit from being warmed a touch. I get the non-conventional crop given the long and low bird, but the upper left bit feels really empty as is. I might lop a bit off the left hand side, but cropping is more of matter of personal preference than anything else!

hey Kevin, I like this, and the crop you chose. It really is something to observe their dust bathing! Very nice HA, and action capture, well done!

I like this one better than the other.. Nice warm colors, nice angle and nice details.
