The bird whisperer does it again. Awesome color and details (no surprise from you). The eye and lores would be enough, you just had to nail those whites too. TFS
This is a really clever take on this species. The color and detail on the featured lores is excellent. I might try to equalize the whites across the bird with some local adjustment. Right now the bird's right shoulder is brighter than the rest of his face. If you could equalize that by turning down the shoulder and removing some of the gray in the face I think it would strengthen an already awesome frame.

Hey Dorian, easy enough to do. I used the Adjustment Brush in Lightroom to burn the shoulder and on the head I removed black from the whites.
