Hi Joseph: Great FFD composition and BG. Care to say more about the "new tools/techniques" used? Cheers.

Details look great, and I think you could bring the whites up a touch for a bit more pop. As is, they look slightly gray to me.

Looks good, I have never seen one so I have to ask are the "white" feathers white or grey/beige, possibly lift the darkest plumage a little. A levels layer and gentle adjustment of the mid tone slider illustrates my point.
i sense being that close there may be some detail in the iris to exploit. I like the composition.

Hi Joe, like Jon, I like the framing, but I find the yellow dominating, if you used Vibrance then backing it off I feel offers a better result. Nice detail.

Lovely pose and great detail. Nice BG too. Always fun to apply new skills. You are vastly more familiar with Limpkins than I am, but to my eye the off-whites look about right.

Love the soft light and the preening pose. Even though he is preening the "other side" his body is angled in such a way that the bill is perfectly parallel to the back of the camera, just as it should be.
