You've got the perfect BG(in color and uniform simplicity) to show off this all black stunner. The details look great in all that black. TFS

Hi Ray, great bird and you are correct, not often captured or posted here, congrats... For me it is not tack sharp, maybe more sharpening, especially needed in critical face/beak area. I like the clean BG and the light highlighting and giving some color to the edge feathers. Where did you photograph? TFS

You are correct now that I look closely to it, I will add a bit more sharpening to it. This was take in Grand Cayman, they are super common here.

What a weird looking bird lol! Details, background, light are all top notch, I agree another round of sharpening would make it even better!

Here is a repost, I added a bit more sharpening and adjusted the levels to make the bird pop a bit more.

This is ALMOST there...the focus was just slightly off. But everything is is fantastic, lighting, eye contact, feather layering. Repost is better but the focus was probably too far off to fully correct with sharpening.

Yeah this is almost there. Nice close look but the face is not tack sharp. Looks like critical focus was on the shoulder area and you just lacked a touch of depth to get the whole face sharp.
