    Default Lesser Flamingo

I created this image many years back, from a portable hide on the edge of a large dam called Kamfers Dam on the outskirts of Kimberley, in the Northern Cape. During some parts of the year thousands of these birds congregate on the dam, creating quite a spectacle. I removed some OOF heads from the bottom of the frame. Small crop, processed in LR and PS CC, removed background noise with Neat Image. Thanks for viewing.

Sweet perfection (what's new). Just saw how these gather in the millions during algae blooms in the poisonous hot vents. Sure glad Africa has you to share the wildlife so awesomely. TFS

Love this one. The pink and green go very well together. Nice and sharp with sweet light.

Bird looks great against that background. Perfect head angle and I love the spread feet. Just wish that bottom wing was a little more spread out and symmetrical with the top wing.

Very nice indeed, super contrast between subject and background. I like as presented but would be curious to see the result with a fraction less saturation and contrast, it probably was a very bold looking scene but I wonder if just a little less "oomph" would enhance the plumage detail.

This is supern, the colors are beautiful and the BG sets the bird well, I agree with Isaac above wishing the bottom wing to be a bit more spread/paralell, but nonetheless, this is a great shot.

Sweet indeed Chris, lovely colors, BG and wing spread, crop looks full! I like the water drops, the webbed feet and the gorgeous eye! Glad you dug this oldie but goodie out for view. TFS

Yeah, this is really sweet. Love the color, pose, and composition. Yeah it would be nice to see more of the lower wing, but that's relatively minor. A strong frame!
