Mmm lovely - nothing quite like semi digested bass though I think some kind of white wine sauce would be preferable. It is remarkable you managed to get such close up detail, it is not often we see so clearly into the lives of these birds.

LOL Yes Jonathan, now we know how these birds can thoroughly digest whole fish. They always swallow head first and it looks like only the head was in the stomach before this offer. Can't wait to see your grey herons progress.
