    I'm pretty sure this is a female but could be a juvenile.

    Canon 5D4. Canon 100-400 2. 1.4x 3 TC. 1/500. F8. ISO 1000

    ACR and PS6. Bird is wild and free. No food or other means of attracting were used.

    Love the SH,EXP, color and details (especially the eye and the feet). I even like the berries/flowers in the slightly busy BG which you handled well as you could. TFS

    Very nice David...A lovely natural looking image with good detail on the bird. I like the pose, and yes, this looks like a female. Well captured.

    Good detail and eye contact but this frame s just too cluttered for me. Bird is also really large in the frame and close to both top and bottom edges.

    Blackbirds are among my absolute favourite bird species. You are right in that this is a adult female.
    Nice image and well done getting a lot of details in the brown feathers. I agree that the image is a bit busy and the bird is very large in the frame. The shadows under the tail might need to be brightened too.

    Nice and sharp. This would have made a nice vertical. The red and green in the background is nice.
