Maybe just a little more negative space in front of the bird Krishna, but apart from that I think its a beautifully detailed shot in nice light from a great low angle. Good walking pose as well with the typical heron stare

Looking real good...Love the POV and very nice detail. Great pose. Agree with Mike - space in front. Not too much though, as your crop looks good. Well done

This is spot on. The pose and the ice make this one for me.

    Krishna:

Agree about the fine pose, colors, ice adds an unusual touch for this bird.

The foot placement makes me think he is being cautious on the ice, kind of walking carefully.

    Cheers

I like the stare and the pose. Ice is a plus. Nice job making an super common and heavily photographed bird somewhat interesting. The bird looks too blue to me. Almost looks lavender on the back which is not accurate.

I really like this! If this was taken with the sun below the horizon then the lavender cast makes sense. I do wish for a bit more room in front of him (on the right). The details on the entire bird are wonderful.

Hi Krishna, what a striking image with breathtaking IQ! The detail is superb, sharpness incredible. I would have preferred slightly more space in front of the bird (small nit).
