    Hi all,

After Beep's wild adventures chasing captive-bred Regent Honeyeaters last week I thought I'd let him do some casual tourist stuff. On the way back we stopped at a small country town called Glenrowan, where the infamous bushranger Ned Kelly was captured in 1880 (before being sent to Melbourne for eventual hanging). The place always has an eerie feel to me, as Ned was a renegade outlaw who took on the authorities (even killing several police officers) and became one of the most wanted people ever in Australia. He and his gang also executed a couple of major bank robberies. If anyone is interested there is a decent account of his story here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ned_Kelly.

So here Beep is, checking out a large replica of Ned in his home-made armour plating, which he wore during his final stand (I didn't realise I put Beep in such an uncomfortable pose until later - I've since apologised!!).

    Cheers, Dean
