A few weeks ago we found a snowy owl at first light and the blowing snow was a beautiful orange color. I tried a few silhouette shots and this is what I came up with. The wind was blowing 40mph and gusting to 50 so we didnt shoot very long but got some nice flight shots once the sun was up.
Converted in dpp then lowered exposure and shadows on the owl in photoshop , lowered blue in the background.

With no head, this is not my favorite-ever silhouette ... Looks sharp.

Thanks guys , I'm not gonna try fixing this as wasn't really fond of it to start with. I haven't done many silhouettes so I will use the comments and suggestions for future attempts.
