    Lovely low angle and the bill is very well rendered. The serrations in the inner bill are a good capture.
    Perhaps try to lift the darkest plumage in the cheek area??

    Nice Dan, I looked at it early yesterday and didn't have time to comment. First impression for me was how good the black looked and feather detail was great. I did notice the darkest area as mentioned
    it does cause your eye to be pulled their.Perhaps if the eye was rotated more towards you might add some intimacy overall. I am not sure about males versus females but in another month the bill may
    be whiter and the patch on the head and bill will turn a bright red in breeding plumage.I love the bright red eye and droplets on the head especially.

    I like the interest Dan and good dental hygiene. I agree with the above re blocked blacks, love the ruby eye , water droplets and POV.

    You sure have a nice spot for some waterfowl. The title is great. Like the floss. Nice and sharp.
