I photographed this male leopard in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve earlier this year. The light was very weak with heavily overcast weather, early in the morning. We used a spotlight to add some warmth. Processed in LR and PS CC.

Effective use of spot light here Chris,

like the intentful stealth in this boys pose, some here (not myself) may be critical of the low S/S, but you have the head sharp and the low s/s has produced nice moment in that leading paw. Not too concerned with the cut rear leg/tail, but gather you were fairly close with the 300 prime?

That being said, ISO3200 is a doddle for the class leading High ISO D5 should you have decided to push it further.

    TFS

Very nice. Light is right where you want it. The attentive pose on the leopard is great. Details look nice.

Hi Chris - A nice stalking pose and I like the bit of movement in the leg. Effective use of the spot early morning. No issue on the techs from me. If it were mine I might reduce the reds a little.

I like the shot but I am not crazy about the spot light intensity. I think it was a good idea to use it but I would suggest minimising the obvious use , then I think it would be a really great shot.

Comp works so well which is so rare when part of the animal has been cut off ! The spotlight use and its result work a treat imho. The intense look on that magnificent face is just special

I liked the pose and the use of spotlight. lovely framing as well . ss is a bit low and hence the finer details are a bit lacking. i also feel the contrast is a bit on a higher side . But a very nice image.

    TFS !
